My writings on art, photography, culture, and technology have been published by the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Brooklyn Rail, the Paris Review (the Daily), Artspace, Two Coats of Paint, Surface, Momus, Hyperallergic, Degree Critical, Mashable, and elsewhere. I’ve previously worked as a writer for Artspace and photojournalist for Mashable.
I’m a graduate of the School of Visual Arts, where I received my MFA in art criticism & writing with a thesis on Thomas Ruff’s “Jpegs,” the internet as an archive, mass media imagery, and photography after 9/11. I’ve also worked as a curator and picture editor, as well as a defense investigator for the D.C. Public Defender Service.
